Ingredients

▢ 120 ml plain milk kefir Choose unsweetened kefir.
▢ 120 g mayonnaise Use store-bought mayonnaise with a savoury, tangy flavour rather than a sweet one.
▢ ½ tsp dried parsley Or use 1½ tsp finely chopped fresh parsley.
▢ ½ tsp dried dill Or use 1½ tsp finely chopped fresh dill.
▢ ½ tsp dried chives Or use 1½ tsp finely chopped fresh chives.
▢ ½ tsp garlic powder
▢ ½ tsp onion powder
▢ ½ tsp salt
▢ ¼ tsp ground black pepper

Instructions

Put the kefir and mayonnaise in a mixing bowl.
Add the parsley, dill, chives, garlic powder, onion powder, salt and pepper.
Whisk until smooth, with the herbs evenly mixed through the dressing.
Refrigerate in a covered container for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Makes about 240 ml: 8 servings of about 2 tbsp each.

Storage and safety

Keep in an airtight container at 4°C (40°F) or below and use within 4 days. If an ingredient label gives a shorter limit after opening, follow that limit. Discard dressing left at room temperature for more than 2 hours, or more than 1 hour when the temperature exceeds 32°C (90°F).
